Catholic Hannukah

Hannukah prayers

All three are recited on the first night: only the first two subsequently.

1. Blessed are You, Lord our G-d, King of the universe, who has sanctified us with His commandments, and commanded us to kindle the Hannukah light.

2. Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who performed miracles for our forefathers in those days, at this time.

3. Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who has granted us life, sustained us, and enabled us to reach this occasion.

Novena to St Anselm Composed in 2009 for the 900th Anniversary of his Falling Asleep in The Lord.

O Holy St Anselm, humble servant of Almighty God, of whom nothing greater than can be thought,you expounded the ferocity of His love and devotion towards us by the magnitude of His act in most wonderfully and unexpectedly saving us from the evils, so great and so deserved, by which we used to be beset, and returning us to the enjoyment of good things, so great and so undeserved, which we had lost. We petition you, St Anselm, to obtain the grace that we desire, and intercede for us that God may grant our request if it be for the good of our soul. Amen. Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be.
